ARROW >> This ain't Cupid

Makin lama rasanya blog ini semakin terbengkalai. Maklumlah, too much to handle. Padahal sudah banyak sekali serial TV baik yang baru maupun lanjutan yang pengen saya share di sini. After sekian lama kagak nulis, lalu kenapa Arrow yang terpilih? Sederhana saja, yang terlintas pertama kali adalah serial yang dibintangi Stephen Amell ini.

Awalnya banyak yang berharap agar Justin Hartley di Smallville melanjutkan perannya di serial spin off ini. Tapi sebenarnya ini bukan spin off, melainkan reboot. Dengan begitu harap dimaklumi kalo Justin akhirnya di depak. banyak yang kecewa sih, terutama fans berat Smallville. Namun jika telah menamatkan season perdana Arrow, maka kita bisa paham kenapa Stephen Amell terpilih menghidupkan tokoh Oliver Queen ini.

Tekhnik bercerita yang back to back ala Lost nampaknya sangat efektif dalam membungkus keseluruhan plot. Tokoh-tokoh yang terlibat baik side kicks atau villain maupun love interest cukup proporsional demi membangun klimaks di episode akhir.

Wajah-wajah familiar tentu saja akan kita temui, namun tak membuat kita bosan lantaran semua bintang mampu menghadirkan akting memikat.

Tak seperti Smallville yang berbentuk series, Arrow lebih mengarah ke serial lantaran satu episode dengan episode lainya berkaitan erat. Akan kehilangan kenikmatan menonton jika terlewat satu episode saja.

Tentu saja sorotan utama Arrow adalah Stephen Amell yang melakoni sosok pria playboy yang menjelma menjadi Vigilante. Amell mampu menghidupkan tooh Oliver Queen dengan gelap dan sempurna. Perwakannya yang mirip Chritian Bale sangat sempurna menyelami Ollie yang pendiam tapi garang. Baik wajah dan otot, Amel lebih tepat dibanding Justin Hartley yang lebih pretty boy.

Just can't wait for the next season.

The Amazing Spiderman >> Tobey VS Andrew

Membandingkan Spiderman versi Andrew Garfield dan Tobey McGuire pastilah tak akan ada habisnya. Pro kontra atas reboot yang terlalu cepat  sudah jadi berita basi di mana-mana. Yang jelas setelah di rilis dan di tonton apa reaksi banyak orang? Satisfied? tentu saja. Disappointed? Mungkin saja. 

Mungkin ingin membawa superhero ini ke level yang lebih gelap dan dewasa seperti Batman Begins, The Amazing Spiderman berusaha tidak main-main lagi dengan ekplorasi karakter geeky Peter Parker. Penonton tak lagi berpikir keras mengapa plot The Amazing beda dengan Spiderman. Terus terang, plot yang ada cukup menyegarkan dan tanpa banyak pengulangan-pengulanga yang membuat jemu mengingat Spiderman versi Tobey masih begitu membekas di benak.

Soal kostum yang sedikit lain juga tak begitu mengganggu. Bahkan gambaran Spidey yang kerap membawa backpack benar-benar sentuhan keren yang tak dapat di Spiderman-nya Tobey.

Andrew mungkin tak membuat tubuhnya berotot luar biasa layaknya Tobey di awal Spiderman, namun penyelaman karakter, mimik wajah dan pembawaannya malah membuat The Amazing Spiderman menjadi sangat enak di ikuti.

Mungkin kita bisa bilang kalau The Amazing Spiderman tidak menghasilkan banyak memorable scene (inget adegan ciuman terbalik Spidey dan MJ saat hujan deras?), tapi hadirnya Emma Stone sebagai Gwen Stacy bener2 luar biasa. Pembawaan dan suara serak2nya begitu enak di lihat.

Sally Field yang beken di serial Brother and Sister dan aktor kawakan Martin Sheen yang berperan sebagai paman dan bibi Peter juga memberi ruh tersendiri atas film ini. Dialog-dialognya terasa pas dan tak berlebihan.

The Amazing Spiderman tidak luar biasa, namun enak dinikmati tanpa harus dibanding-bandingkan dengan Trilogy Spidey yang sudah ada. Patut di tonton dah.

PREVIEW: ARROW >>> Siap-siap, superhero baru bakal menggebrak

Seperti yang sudah di singgung sebelumnya, Green Arrow yang beken di Smallville dibuat sekuel-nya, dan di beri judul ARROW doang. Jangan sedih dulu hanya karena tidak dibintangi Justin Hartley, lantaran trailernya sangat menjanjikan (tapi jangan cepat percaya trailer ya).

Belum banyak yang mudti dikomentari, yang jelas Collider.com memberi bocoron sinopsis (yang generik), yuk cekidot...

Did you catch it? Well, if not, there’s a quick shot of the mask belonging to Deathstroke, a villain (sometimes an anti-hero) who hails from Teen Titans back in the 1980’s. The character actually became so popular after becoming the main adversary for the adolescent heroes that he was given his own series, and is now in the Top 100 favorite comic book characters of all-time. According to the DC Comics Database, Deathstroke is the world’s greatest assassin/mercenary and an enemy of the Teen Titans. Originally a soldier in the U.S. Army, he was part of an experimental super-soldier project where he gained enhanced strength, agility and intelligence.

Hmmm...nampaknya ini bukan spin off nih naga-naga-nya...wajar kalo Justin gak dipertimbangkan buat membintanginya, ya gak?

Smallville: Season 11 Coming in April

Dan nampaknya harapan fans Smallville terwujud. Tom Welling akan melanjutkan perannya sebagai Clark Kent di musim 10. Bukan itu saja, Tom bakal mengenakan kostum Superman!! Yaay!!. Ini bukan kabar bohong, karena berita ini di lansir dari website reliable yaitu www.tvseriesfinale.com. 

Akankah semua bintang kembali lagi? Tentu saja semua merindukan Micheal Rosenbaum sebagai Lex Luthor, Kristin Kreuk sebagai Lana Lang atau Annette O'Toole sebagai Martha Kent. Jangan serakah dulu deh, yang penting Smallville 11 tayang dulu dan kita bisa menyaksikan Tom memakai kostum Sup.

Smallville Fans Rejoice! New Comic Book Series, SMALLVILLE SEASON 11, to Pick Up Where Show Left Off

Fans of the smash-hit TV series Smallville haven’t had much to cheer about since the show ended its critically acclaimed 10-year run on The CW last May. That’s all going to change with the upcoming new comic book series from DC Entertainment: SMALLVILLE SEASON 11. Written by former Smallville show scribe Bryan Q. Miller, the new digital first series will be published digitally on April 13, 2012, with new digital chapters released weekly thereafter. Additionally, the online chapters will be offered in a print periodical, along with an episode guide to the hit television series, with the first print issue released on May 16.

The new comic book series picks-up where the show left off (with Clark officially now as Superman!) and features other fan-favorite characters including Oliver Queen/Green Arrow, Chloe Sullivan-Queen, Lois Lane, Lex Luthor, and General Lane. The book features an all-star creative team – in addition to Miller, SMALLVILLE SEASON 11 creators include print cover artist Gary Frank (SUPERMAN SECRET ORIGIN), digital cover artist Cat Staggs and interiors by Pere Perez (BATGIRL).

CAPTAIN AMERICA: FIRST AVENGER >>> Gak Sabar Nunggu THE AVANGERS

Gempuran film2 superhero di tahun 2011 memang dahsyat. Satu yang mencuri perhatian dan berhasil meraup banyak uang adalah sosok superhero Marvel yang ternyata memang sangat enak untuk dinikmati. BIntang utama-nya Chris Evans memang sudah pernah melakoni peran superhero dalam Fantastic Four, namun nampaknya peran Captain America inilah yang mengangkat nama Evans ke level lebih tinggi. Uniknya, media terutama internet banyak membahas perubahan tubuh Evans yang luar biasa dan gambar-gambarnya tanpa kaos yang menunjukkan otot dada-nya menjadi promosi hebat, padahal gambar itulah satu-satunya adegan Chris Evans bertelanjang dada dalam film ini. Memang, perubahan tubuh Evans yang luar biasa banyak menginspirasi para pria yang ingin membentuk otot, tapi sebenarnya tak lebih istimewa dari apa yang dilakukan Taylor Lautner kan?

Oke, di dalam filmnya Evans yang memerankan Steve Rogers digambarkan kurus ceking namun bercita-cita luhur untuk menjadi seorang tentara yang membela negaranya dalam memerangi Nazi. Tentu saja yang ada di layar bukan tubuh Evans sebenarnya. Kepalanya sih iya, namun tubuhnya tentu saja hasil CGI. Banyak yang menganggap CGI-nya sangat sempurna, namun bagi Ithonx terasa aneh lantaran kepala Evans terlihat begitu besar. Tapi untunglah kita tak perlu berlama-lama melihat Chris Evans eh Steve Rogers yang kurus dan pendek. Dengan bantuan serum ajaib, Steve Rogers berubah menjadi Captain America yang sempurna.

Cerita kemudian mengalir standar. Kisah cinta dan persahabatan menjadi bumbu yang mengantar ke plot utama yaitu memerangi villain. Tak ada lonjakan emosi yang berarti layaknya saat kita menonton Spiderman-nya Tobey McGuire. atau Batman-nya Christian Bale. Tak juga saat Rogers kehilangan sobat kentalnya, Bucky. Tapi tak apalah, mungkin superhero yang satu ini memang dibuat dengan tone yang berbeda.

Kita juga harus jeli saat di awal cerita kita disodori prolog yang nantinya mengantar penonton ke ending-nya. Sesuai judulnya: The First Avangers, maka kita harus maklum jika film ini hanya 'sekedar' mengenalkan siapa itu Captain America. Yang sudah menonton Thor, maka bersiaplah nanti kehadiran Thor, Captain America, Hulk, Iron Man, dan lain-lain dalam satu film superhero paling ditunggu: The Avangers. Ah, gak sabar.

JIKA SUPERMAN KEHILANGAN SEMPAK MERAHNYA

 

Proses syuting masih berjalan, namun buzz tentang banyaknya perubahan yang bakal di buat Zack Snyder di Superman: Man Of Steel terus menjadi perbincangan hangat. Yang paling banyak di perdebatkan adalah soal kostum sang manusia baja. Liaht gambar2 yang ada disini. TOkoh superhero ikonik ini dikenal luas lantaran memakai sempak merah diluar, namun Snyder nampaknya bakal tega tak memakaian Superman-nya Henry Cavill celana dalam keramat itu. Ditambah lagi, perubahan mencolok sangat terasa di warna, tekstur dan logo. Belum lagi guratan urat otot dan urat di bisep dan paha. Memang nampak mentereng, tapi ini perubahan yang serius kan?

Kalo soal Henry Cavill, Ithonx sendiri awalnya ragu dengan tampangnya saat tampil plontos di The Tudor. Namun demi melihat Henry memakai kostum Supe dg tatanan rambut ala Christopher Reeve, yang bisa Ithonx bilang "He's such a perfect cast". Kesan bangsawan tengil di The Tudor langsung hilang. Rahangya yang square teraksentuasi dengan baik. Ithonx rasa Henry tak bakal mengecewakan para fans Superman.

Yuk kita bandingkan kostum Cavill di Man of Steel dan Routh di Superman Returns

Mencolok kan bedanya? Silahkan amati sendiri. Walau banyak dicerca dan dianggap tak sukses, Superman Returns tetap memorable dan tak mengecewakan Ithonx. Memang banyak yang menganggap tak bombastis dan banyak dramanya, namun tetap masihh enak dinikmati. 

Penasaran dengan versi Henry Cavill yang dibidani Zack Snyder yang sukses membuat 300 itu. Bakalan gimana ya?

X-MEN: FIRST CLASS >>> Dan Semua Berawal Di Sini...

Yang bukan penggemar komik X-Men yang katanya cukup njelimet, hadirnya X-Men: First Class ini sangat membantu untuk mengenal tokoh-tokoh penting para mutan yang munculdi trilogy dan spin off sebelumnya.

Awalnya, First Class tidak terlalu menyita perhatian Ithonx lantaran sudah dipastikan bahwa Wolverine tidak muncul. Apalah artinya film X-Men tanpa Wolverine? Apalagi bintang-bintang yang kayaknya tidak membuat nafsu menonton banyak berserakan disini. Ithonx bukan fans-nya James McAvoy yang beberapa filmya memang layak tonton juga. Nampaknya versi lebih muda-nya Mystique, Professor X, Magneto dan Beast tak membuat hati tergerak menontonnya.

Namun anggapan tersebut salah besar. X-Men First Class ternyata sangat memikat baik cerita maupun efek spesial-nya. Bagi penikmat semua film-film X-Men, First Class membuat penonton manggut-manggut sambil benaknya terus menghubungkan cerita-cerita yang telah disodorkan sebelumnya. Kita bisa tau semua asal-usul mutan-mutan sakti. Dengan gamblang film ini bercerita hubungan Xavier dan Raven (yang kemudian di kenal dengan Mystique), Hubungan asmara Erik (kemudian menjadi Magneto) dan Raven. Hank McCoy yang awalnya berwujud manusia namun berubah menjadi Beast. Dan banyak cerita lainnya yang enak diikuti.

Porsi terbesar tentu saja adalah kisah Charles Xavier yang nantinya membangun sekolah khusus mutan dan kisah pedihnya Erik Lenhserr yang kemudian bermotomorfosis menjadi Magneto yang super jahat. Jika di film ini Professor X dan Magneto muda masih bersahabat, lalu siapa tokoh jahatnya? Jangan kuatir, mutan bernama Sebastian Shaw menjadi pemicu awalnya X dan Magneto muda bersahabat dan kemudian menjadi musuh bebuyutan. Sebastian Shawadiperankan oleh aktor kawakan Kevin Bacon yang nampak lebih muda di film ini

James McAvoy dan Micheal Fessbender cukup apik memerankan X dan Magneto muda. Sementara, walau nampak kaku, para bintang muda yang memerankan mutan-mutan sakti cukup memeriahkan film ini. Beban berat harus ditanggung Jennifer Lawrence yang memerankan Raven atau Mystique. Di tiga seri sebelumnya Mystique begitu lekat dengan sosok Rebbeca Romijn yang cantik dan seksi, dan Jennifer sedikit kerepotan memerankan Mystique muda.

Tapi masa sih pemain-pemain lama tak ada yang nongol? Yah, memang begitulah adanya. Yang ada hanyalah cameo yang cukup memberi kejutan menyenangkan. Wolverine dan Mystique (Hugh Jackman dan Rebecca Romijn) muncul beberapa detik saja.

Tak perlu diragukan kalau nanti akan ada sequel lagi, karena memang layak ditunggu.

Update Terbaru >> WONDER WOMAN gagal dibuat, adaptasi THE FIRM dibintangi Josh Lucas, dan THE EVENT bakal di lanjutkan di Syfy

THE FIRM

Tom Cruise membintangi adaptasi novel karya John Grisham 'The Firm' yang fenomenal itu, dan sekarang Josh Lucas dapat giliran memerankan Mitchel McDeere di serial teve besutan NBC. The Firm versi serial teve bakal bercerita sepuluh tahun setelah kejadian di film atau di novel yang sudah dinikmati penonton tersebut. Yang mengikuti filmnya pasti sudah tahu kalau Mitchell meruntuhkan biro hukum tempatnya bekerja dan alhasil ia dan istri harus masuk program perlindungan saksi, nah serial tevenya akan menyoroti kehidupan Mitch yang memulai hidup baru namun malah dihantui masa lalu yang mengancam nyawanya. Terdengar menjanjikan ya?


WONDER WOMAN

Malang sekali superhero cantik in. Setelah dengan gigihnya David E. Kelley memperjuangkan proyek ini dan berhasil membuat episode pilotnya, ternyata respon penonton dan stasiun teve sama buruknya. Alhasil, serial ini tidak bakal dilanjutkan. Memang proyek Wonder Woman ini sedari awal banyak hambatan, terutama pemilihan Adrianna Pallicki sebagai Wonder Woman yang dianggap sangat tidak cocok. Mungkin harus dicari wanita berkarakter seperti Lucy Lawless si Xena ya. Semoga dengan perbaikan naskah, bintang dan kostum, Wonder Woman menjadi proyek yang menjanjikan lagi.



THE EVENT

The Event sedikit lebih beruntung dari Wonder Woman, walau sempat tak jelas nasibnya, akhirnya serial misteri fiksi ilmiah ini tetap ditamatkan hingga episode 22. Memang belum terjawab semua misteri di dalamnya. Namun stasiun EW paling tidak memenuhi permintaan fans. Terdengar kabar bahwa The Event bakal di lanjutkan oleh stasiun teve SyFy ke musim kedua, memang masih rencana sih, namun jika benar maka halangan selanjutnya adalah apakah semua bintangnya masih mau melanjutkan lantaran sudah bubar dan mencari peran di serial dan film. Kita tunggu aja deh.


TEEN WOLF

Serial ini makin memeriahkan pertelevisian yang berkisah tentang werewolf atau srigala jejadian. Serial ini sudah dibahas sebelumnya, ya. Di bintangi Tyler Posey dan merupakan adaptasi film tahun 80an-nya Micheal J. Fox dengan judul yang sama, serial MTV ini siap bersaing dengan serial-serial pop CW. Kita liat saja ntar...

Setelah 10 Tahun, Dan Semalam SMALLVILLE Pun Berakhir >>> Lois & Clark Menikah? Clark Memakai Kostum Superman?? Spoiler Alert dari TV Guide.com

Jutaan pasang mata menyaksikan akhir kisah si manusia baja dan mencetak rekor sebagai serial teve yang episode pamungkasnya paling banyak di saksikan penonton. Episode pamungkas berdurasi dua jam, maka penonton memang benar-benar di siapkan untuk berpisah dengan serial favorit ini. Yang tak sabar menyaksikannya, TV Guide.com membebarkan secara detil kisahnya. Cekidot, guys:

The series finale opened on an intriguing flashforward into the future, as Chloe read her son a Smallville comic that told the story of Clark Kent's transformation into Superman.

Let's take a look at how that came to be:

The future Man of Steel is inching closer to his destiny, but first he has to contend with a fiancée who doesn't want to walk down the aisle. Lois is scared that she is keeping Clark from being the world's savior. At the same time, his mother, Martha, is trying to convince him not to lose sight of where he came from — both Krypton and Smallville.

Meanwhile, Tess is visited by Granny Goodness, who wants to save her from the coming Apokolips. Valiantly saying she would never turn to the dark side, Tess sets off on a mission to warn the superheroes, but is foiled by Lionel Luthor, who kidnaps her.

Once Lois and Clark realize they are truly meant for each other, the pair walks down the aisle, surrounded by their loved ones, including Martha, an apparition of Jonathan Kent, Chloe and Oliver — who is under the control of Darkseid and the prophecies.

After Clark and Lois exchange their vows, Chloe notices the wedding band Oliver is handing to Lois to put on Clark's finger is actually gold kryptonite. An all-out battle between Clark and Oliver ensues, ruining the couple's wedding. Clark tells Oliver he refuses to give up on him, knowing there is still goodness inside. Oliver is able to overcome the darkness, and destroys the ring — just as the Apokolips has arrived.

After Clark receives Tess' message of the incoming Apokolips, Jonathan appears to Clark, saying he's now ready to face Darkseid. Clark is scared because Darkseid nearly defeated him before and knows his weaknesses. Jonathan insists that Clark needs to turn to Jor-El to guide him. Martha, unaware of Jonathan's appearance, shares the story of finding Clark in the field when he was a baby — he was the miracle they prayed for and now the world needs that same miracle.

Clark goes in search of Tess, who is close to fulfilling her own destiny as a Luthor, according to Lionel. Lex has finally pieced together the best bits of each clone to create a masterpiece. The only thing Lex needs now is a heart, and because Tess hid Conner so well, it's her heart that's being donated. Tess is able to escape captivity and shoot Lionel in the chest. As she leaves, Darkseid arrives to offer Lionel a deal — his soul for Lex's life.

Clark tracks who he believes to be Lionel to the Luthor mansion, but it's Lex who greets him, explaining that they will both be great men because they have a destiny as enemies. Lex implores Clark to save the world from Darkseid so their story can begin. One slight glitch for Lex? He'll never remember this or any of his memories of Smallville and Clark Kent. As he later skewers Tess with a sword, she reveals her last dying act was to plant a neuro-toxin on him, essentially erasing his every memory.

Lois boards Air Force One to warn the president that nuking what they believe to be a meteor, but is actually a planet, will kill a third of the Earth. It turns out they already know this, and would rather sacrifice some for the greater good. Lois begs them to wait, that heroes like the Blur will save them.

As Clark prepares to return to the Fortress, he comes face to face with Darkseid, who has taken over the body of Lionel. Darkseid knows Clark will be able to vanquish the darkness, so he must kill him. Tossing him like a rag doll across the barn, Clark's consciousness is suddenly transported to the Fortress, where he sees visions of every trial he's been through. Jor-El tells Clark it's time to embrace his destiny.

Coming back to his body, Clark stops himself mid-air, and instead flies straight through Darkseid and to the Fortress, where Jor-El greets him. Clark honors his biological father with the realization that his strength comes from accepting his Kryptonian past, but Jor-El tells Clark to also hold onto his memories of Smallville. Jonathan appears to hand Clark the infamous supersuit as Clark flies off to save the world.

Before ridding the Earth of Darkseid's Apokolips, Clark flies to save Lois' plane from going down. And as Clark flies into Apokolips, she grabs a handheld camera on Air Force One to interview the president, cementing her place in history. As Clark pushes the planet away, he shines a light upon the world, removing the Omega symbols.

"And that was the day the boy turned into Superman," Chloe tells her son as she closes the comic book.

We're back in the future as Chloe tucks her son in, with his bow and arrows not too far away, and makes a call to her cousin, Lois. Over at the Daily Planet, intrepid reporter Lois Lane is sent into a tizzy as she prepares for her wedding while juggling Perry White's many demands -- as he yells, "Great Caesar's ghost!" -- and doling out advice to the new Jimmy Olsen. As a television nearby blares the news that Lex Luthor has been elected president, Lois and Clark are finally ready to get married ... but maybe not today; he has to run to save Metropolis first.

And so Smallville comes to an end, giving fans nearly everything they asked for and more. From tights and flight to the full-fledged legendary hero, Smallville brought Superman alive — and it was worth every minute of the 10-year wait. Every bit an ending as it was a beginning, Smallville flew off on a sky-high note.

Wonder woman memang belum tayang, namun berita-berita tentang syuting, kostum, bintang dan plot versi modernnya terus menjadi spekulasi. Dan akhirnya collider.com merilis gambar-gambar Adrianne Palicki dengan kostum yang bakalan dipakainya sepanjang serial. Kita longok yuk.

Nah, ini kostum Adrianne sebagai Wonder Woman. Ternyata pake celana panjang...!! Bandingkan dengan versi Lynda Carter tahun 70an. Cekidot!!

Mana yang lebih seksi? Yang pasti, kita tunggu saja serialnya nanti

ELIZABETH HURLEY & CARY ELWES BERGABUNG DI WONDER WOMAN...!!

Adrianne Palicki sudah dipastikan bakal memakai kostum seksi Wonder Woman (baca posting sebelumnya), namun berita tentang siapa yang bakal memerankan tokoh jahat atau villain sang wanita ajaib tetap marak beredar. Walau hanya berupa episode pilot dan belum tentu akan berlanjut menjadi serial menahun layaknya Smallville, tetap saja Wonder Woman-nya David E. Kelley ini menjadi buah bibir.

Tersiar kabar kalau si seksi Liz Hurley bakal memerankan Veronica Gale, pemilik perusahaan kosmetik besar yang menaruh dendam dengan sang pahlawan wanita kesayangan kita tersebut. Hadirnya Liz tentu saja akan membawa atmosfer seksi ke level yang lebih tinggi lantaran menghadirkan Liz tanpa mengekploitasi keseksian wanita matang ini akan menjadi sia-sia saja. Setuju kan?

Sementara yang bakal menemani Liz Hurley adalah aktor kawakan Cary Elwes yang bakal memerankan seorang CEO setia kepada atasannya.

Semua memang masih belum begitu jelas ya. Kita tunggu saja lah.

AQUAMAN >>> Justin Hartley was AQUAMAN before becoming GREEN ARROW

Di tahun 2007, WB pernah berkeinginan membuat serial Aquaman sebagai suksesor serial sukses Smallville, dan kemudian digaraplah episode pilot yang masih bisa diunduh tersebut. Namun akhirnya kita hanya bisa menyaksikan Justin sebagai Aquaman hanya sebatas episode pilot tersebut lantaran (pasti sudah tahu) Justin akhirnya bermain sebagai Green Arrow di Smallville dan Aquaman juga hadir sebagai recuring character di Smalllvile yang diperankan aktor lain.

Gak apalah, namun setelah menyaksikan (lagi) Aquaman proyek coba-coba ini, kayaknya WB harus serius menggarap serial ini sebagai antisipasi bakal berakhirnya Smallville. Justin Hartley tentu tidak mungkin kembali menjadi Aquaman lantaran imej Green Arrow kadung melekat (sebaiknya dibuat spin off juga ya..), namun Alan Ritchson melakoni sang manusia ikan tersebut tetap punya fan base dan bukan cast yang tidak tepat. Setuju kan?

Aquaman adalah karakter komik milik DC, jadi plot sudah pasti banyak yang hafal. Namun sedikit polesan (layaknya Smallville) bisa membuat serial ini (semoga jadi dibuat) berwarna. Merujuk pilot episode-nya Justin Hartley, Aquaman alias Arthur Curry adalah pangeran Atlantis yang dibawa sang ibu (entah dibawa ato sang ibu menikah dengan manusia) ke dunia kita dan akhirnya menjadi pahlawan bagi dunia laut (bagus buat isu pemanasan global, ya). Monster-monster bawah laut, pemandangan indah terumbu karang dan spesial efek lumayan baik. Jadi, Aquaman harus segera digarap mengingat bakal ada Wonder Woman sebentar lagi. Sekali lagi, setuju kan?

Siap-siap WONDER WOMAN akan hadir >>> Adrianne Palick is WONDER WOMAN (Bukan Mulan Jameela...!!)

Setelah dikabarkan terkatung-katung, akhirnya obsesi pembesut Ally McBeal, David E, Kelley untuk menghidupkan kembali sang pahlawan nan cantik dan seksi Wonder Woman kesampaian juga. Sejumlah media melaporkan bahwa proyek ini sudah memasuki tahap penggarapan episode pilot.

Dan tentunya yang membuat penasaran adalah siapa yang bakal memerankan Wonder Woman? Megan Fox kah? atau Mulan Jameela? Hehehe.

Yang beruntung adalah Adrianne Palicki yang padahal baru saja bersusah hati lantaran serialnya Lone Star tidak diperpanjang. Bagi para pecandu serial Friday Night Lights, wajah Adrianne pasti sudah akrab.

Stasiun NBC menyerahkan episode awal untuk digarap oleh Jeffrey Reiner yang ternyata sutradara Friday Night Lights juga, jadi bisa ketebak kan mengapa Adrianne yang menyabet peran itu. Huh, nepotisme...gak pake audisi ya...Ah gak penting, yang jelas kalau memang layak pasti hasilnya bagus, iya kan??

Menjelang akan menghilangnya Smallville dari layar kaca, setidaknya Wonder Woman akan menerima tongkat estafet sebagai serial superhero yang paling banyak ditonton. Semoga.

SMALLVILLE 'THE FINALE' >>> BERSIAPLAH UNTUK SEBUAH AKHIR....2 JAM...!!!

Sejak diumumkan bahwa musim ke-10 adalah musim pamungkas, banyak penonton mengantisapasi serial yang berlangsung 10 tahun ini. Rating menjadi naik secara drastis dan apalagi makin mendekati episode akhir. Jutaan pasang mata dipastikan akan menyaksikan episode pamungkasnya.

Para petinggi CW sudah bersiap-siap akan memberikan kesan indah bagi para penggemar yang telah setia selama satu dekade menyaksikan petualangan Clark. Serunya, CW mengumumkan bahwa episode terakhir akan ditayangkan tanggal 13 Mei dan akan berlangsung 2 jam..!!

The CW will present the series finale of SMALLVILLE as an epic two-hour television event on Friday, May 13 (8:00-10:00 p.m. ET.)

The story of a young Clark Kent (Tom Welling) and his journey to become the Man of Steel has captivated audiences for a decade. This final season, Clark attempts to find a balance between saving the world, which becomes even more difficult as the Vigilante Registration Act separates a nation, and spending time with his new fiancée Lois Lane (Erica Durance). Whether it’s donning glasses as a disguise, changing in a phone booth or learning how to fly, this season has put Clark closer to his destiny than ever before. Taking on Darkseid and battling the darkest of his demons, this two-hour event will send Clark soaring towards his birthright to secure his place in history as the world’s greatest protector.

“Paying homage to 10 seasons is no small task, and wrapping up each character and story arc has been extremely important to everyone involved in the show,” said executive producers Brian Peterson and Kelly Souders. “We’re excited to be able to make the final moments of SMALLVILLE a television event, as the character we’ve grown up with makes his legendary transformation.”

Smallville akan segera tamat bulan Mei tahun ini, dan Heroes sudah lama 'terkubur'. Sementara dikabarkan proyek Wonder Woman-nya David E. Kelley dimentahkan banyak network. Dengan begitu serial superhero bakal mengalami kekosongan. Jangan kuatir, The Cape (mungkin) akan mencuri perhatian. Serial yang di bintangi David Lyons ini mengadaptasi teknik penceritaan dan sinematografi ala komik.

Ini sinopsis dan review dari Ethan Anderton yang dikutip dari collider.com:

Vince Faraday (David Lyons) is seemingly one of the only good cops in a police force of corrupt lawmen. Even at home he reads the heroic tales of The Cape, his son’s favorite superhero, for some quality father-son storytime. But the looming danger of a masked serial killer known as Chess creates fear in the city, and the police force is falling as many officers are moving to ARK, a private law enforcement company. Meanwhile, an online prowler is hip to ARK’s secret corruption and goal of a takeover of Palm City (it’s Los Angeles’ version of Gotham City) Of course, when Chess makes good on a threat to kill the new police chief, Faraday is left thinking that ARK is the best choice to become a real cop on a law enforcement team that seems to be doing real good. Once Faraday meets ARK president and CEO Peter Fleming (James Frain) it’s easy to link his dulcet British tones to the city’s infamous villain.

But before Faraday can even begin working for ARK, his misplaced trust puts him right in the clutches of Chess, who reveals himself to Faraday before framing him as the villain. It’s this scene that brings a level of camp and silliness that seems fine in the comic book world, but like Joel Schumacher’s installments of Batman, feels very artificial and almost laughable. Frain adds some weight to one-liners and monologues from Chess, but the script needs some polishing to sound less like a Saturday morning cartoon face-off between hero and villain. This becomes even more evident when Scales (Vinnie Jones) shows up as a secondary villain. Fortunately, there aren’t too many of these cheesy exchanges and some of this camp is reduced by some great production design, visual style and direction.

The story really picks up when Faraday, presumed dead after a chase by police officers leads to an explosion in a train yard, is forced to go into hiding and his son is left hurt and confused by the accusation of his father as a villain. Like a superhero, Faraday’s “adopted family” comes in the unlikely form of a band of circus performers who also rob banks. There’s undoubtedly an influence of Tim Burton’s Batman, but it’s far less prominent than the campy dialogue and poorly written humor. However, the coolness factor kicks in when Max Malini (Keith David) decides to help Faraday stop Chess in exchange for his help in robbing all of ARK’s money supply at various banks. After getting plenty of cash, Malini begins teaching Faraday the art of distraction, deception, and theatrical vanishing. And then there’s The Cape, an accessory that is both flexible and strong and inexplicably allows for long range combat akin to Mr. Fantastic’s stretchy limbs.

Yup, formula yang dipakai terasa klise ya, tapi inilah genre superhero. Pendeknya, The Cape adalah Batman yang tidak kaya,hehe...

Walau The Cape tidak begitu familiar dan belum mengena di hati begitu ditayangkan, namun tidak menutup kemungkinan serial ini bakal menjadi tontotan bergenre superhero yang ditunggu.

Milo Ventimiglia Soon To Be A Hero in REST >>> Serial Baru Adaptasi Komik-nya Milo "Peter Petrelli" Ventimiglia

Milo Ventimiglia is going to star in and executive produce a new potential series adaptation of Rest, a comic book co-created by himself along with Russ Cundiff and Mark Powers. The news also said that the writer of Smallville is the one who's responsible adapting the comic.



The series follows John Barrett, a guy in his late 20’s stuck in a dead-end job with no future, but when his best friend from college mysteriously resurfaces with news of a new wonder drug that replaces sleep, John falls into a conspiracy that threatens to change the course of human history.

After Heroes was canceled, many fans are disappointed (I personally am disappointed because of the story, not for the series being canceled) and want to see more Peter Petrelli. I hope it's gonna be great like Human Target.

The end of the beginning starts here. Taking flight in its tenth and final season, this modern retelling of a hero’s legendary origins continues to blend realism, action, heart and humor as Clark Kent (Tom Welling) soars toward claiming his birthright.

Clark has emerged from his darkest hour, only to find the path to his destiny blocked by ghosts from the past – shadows in the present tempting Clark toward the darkness at every turn. Despite insurmountable odds, is Clark strong enough to step into the light and claim his rightful place as Earth’s mightiest protector?

As “Smallville’s” epic ninth season came to a close, General Zod (Callum Blue) and his Kryptonian Army declared war on the people of Earth. Clark prevented the deaths of thousands, if not millions of humans by using the Kryptonian Book of Rao to stop the attack. The spiritual tome opened a gateway to another world, one where Clark’s people could exist in peace. One-by-one, every Kryptonian on Earth was propelled across the universe, but as Clark prepared for his “ascension,” Zod refused to leave. Using a blue Kryptonite dagger to make himself human and avoid being sucked into space, Zod remained behind so that he could rule a world without its guardian, Clark Kent. Having no other option to rid the world of Zod’s tyranny, Clark plunged the dagger into his own abdomen, protecting himself from ascension – and exiling Zod in the process. Though victorious, Clark’s win was bittersweet as he plummeted off the building and into the darkness below.

After a fateful kiss, Lois Lane (Erica Durance) realized that the two men she had been torn between all season – Clark Kent and Metropolis’ heroic Blur – were one and the same. Having finally found redemption and a second chance at love, Chloe Sullivan (Allison Mack) and Oliver Queen, a.k.a. the Green Arrow (Justin Hartley), were ripped apart. Chloe was forced to painfully listen as the love of her life, Oliver, was abducted by mysterious assailants during his attempt to help Clark defeat Zod’s Army. And Tess Mercer (Cassidy Freeman), heir to the late Lex Luthor empire and double agent for the now-defunct government organization Checkmate, was fatally burned at Zod’s hand in an attempt to right past wrongs. As Tess flatlined in Metropolis General Hospital, she was visited by a shrouded, elderly woman. The granny’s motives…still unknown.

Throughout season nine, Clark, bearing the iconic S-shield of his heritage, struggled to find his place between the human world in which he was raised and the Kryptonian world he was born into. Having made peace with his dual heritage, Clark, in season ten, must now find the courage to step out of the shadows and emerge into the light. Never before has there been such a dangerous time for Clark to step into the public eye and take on the mantle of the inspirational icon he is destined to be. As the tide of sentiment in Metropolis turns against heroes, branding them as unchecked vigilantes, our defender of justice will be called upon to re-define what it really means to be a superhero. Given how dangerously close Clark has skirted to crossing the line in the name of “justice” in the past, will he truly earn the right to be the symbol of good for humanity, or will he prove the naysayers right, that no one individual can be judge, jury and enforcer.

The season ten premiere, “Lazarus,” opens mere seconds after last season’s finale. Clark Kent wakes from his near-death experience, haunted by the ghosts of his past, both friend and foe. Given a new lease on life, Clark must find a way to rid himself of every last temptation, to purge himself of every last shard of doubt in his heart before he can become the beacon of hope the world needs. Teri Hatcher As Lois Lane’s Mother in the Final Season of SMALLVILLE

Along with the growing list of returning cast members from seasons passed (including John Glover, Lionel Luther and Laura Vandervoort, Supergirl), producers have convinced Teri Hatcher to play Lois Lane’s (Erica Durance) mother in the tenth and final season of Smallville.

And If you're hardcore Smallville fans, you know that Lois’ mother has been dead for quite awhile, what???. Collide.com explained that in the eighth episode of the forthcoming season Lois finds some old videotapes with her mother in them. Get it? Good.

While the buzz of Wonder Woman movie version keeps on going on (with Megan Fox as the best candidate), the man who brought us Ally McBeal and Boston Legal, David E. Kelley, will bring this heroine into TV. Not familiar with this superhero? don't blame yourself because the last TV adaptation was in 1978.

During World War II, Major Steve Trevor bails out during an air battle over the Bermuda Triangle, Paradise island. The island is home to the Amazons, beautiful, ageless women with great strength, agility, and intelligence. Amazon princess Diana rescues the handsome Trevor and nurses him back to health. Her mother, the Amazon queen, decrees that games shall be held to select one Amazon to return Trevor to the United States but she forbids Diana to participate. During the contest a blond woman shows exceptional skill and ties for first. The contest is decided through "Bullets and Bracelets," where each of the two take turns shooting at the other, who must try to deflect the bullets. The blond woman wins, very slightly injuring the opponent's arm. When she is pronounced the winner and presented with a golden belt, she removes her gold mask and headband, which reveals that she is Diana. Her mother realizes that she must go to America, as she is the strongest and fastest.

Her costume is designed to feature American emblems in the hope that she will be accepted in her new home, and her golden belt will be her source of strength and power. She retains her bullet-deflecting bracelets and also receives a golden lasso which is indestructible and forces people to obey and tell the truth when bound. Diana is now known as "Wonder Woman" and she flies to DC in an invisible plane. After dropping Trevor off at a hospital, the heroine stumbles upon a bank robbery, which she stops. A theatrical agent who sees her in action invites her to take her Bullets and Bracelets act on the road as a theatrical attraction. Diana is hesitant but needing money in this society, she agrees.

Meanwhile, Trevor's civilian secretary, Marcia, is a double agent for the Nazis. She seeks to aid top spies in killing Trevor and opposing the new threat, Wonder Woman, although her first attempt — arranging for an audience member to fire a machine gun at Wonder Woman during her stage act — backfires when the Amazon easily deflects the multiple bullets. Later, at the hospital, Diana disguises herself as a nurse in order to keep an eye on Trevor. As spy activities increase, Trevor leaves the hospital and is captured, prompting his "nurse" to transform into Wonder Woman to rescue him. Wonder Woman defeats the spy ring. The film closes as Trevor meets his new secretary, Yeoman Diana Prince (Wonder Woman in disguise).

Well, still no buzz whether Kelley will stick with the original plot or change the TV version into legal drama that he's good at. Even we still have no clue who's gonna play Wonder Woman.

With Smallville coming to its tenth, and the last, season, Wonder Woman could be the next great superhero series.

Glee's Quinn Fabray Is New Mary Jane? >>> Andy Garfield sebagai Spiderman baru, lalu siapa pemeran Marry Jane?

Deadline reported that actresses Emma Stone (Easy A) and Mia Wasikowska (Alice in Wonderland) along with new names Dianna Agron (Glee), Dominique McElligott (Moon), and Georgina Haig (Wasted on the Young) are under consideration for Gwen Stacy and Mary Jane..!!



My vote is for Dianna Agron, the singing cheerleader from Glee though this Quinn Fabray has to face difficulties if she is casted in this superhero reboot: availability because she is such a major part of a hit TV show. Be Mary Jane or Gwen Stacy, but don't leave Glee Club, Quinn...!!!
