At first, I really expected that this movie would be great, but it turned out to be lame in some level. This Australian western flick seemed to repeat the old pattern all B class films have.Expecting Ryan Kwanten to play great seemed so hopeless. We all know that he is good in True Blood because he was naked a lot there. He once played better in Dead Silence, but the credit had to be given to director, not him.
Here's the story: Shane Cooper and his pregnant wife just moved into a small town. This young police officer must survive his first day's duty in this small country town called Red Hill. A fugitive came to this peaceful place to kill all of people with no reason at all. Well, the "with no reason at all" turns out to be "so reasonable" at the end of the story.
I'm not saying that this film is bad, but I didn't feel the thrill when watching it. The characters seemed so soulless with many plot holes here and there. For me, the important thing to love a story in which a character is taking a revenge is that we have to feel the pain he/she feels. And I didn't feel that feeling here. Too bad.
